Recreational Dance Program
Our Recreational Dance Program is perfect for those who are just starting out, those who prefer to focus on a few styles, and/or those who wish to create a flexible schedule while juggling other activities.
Recreational classes are offered in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Broadway Bound (dance/sing/act). They are organized by age and level so dancers can take class with other students their same age, regardless of level.

Munchkins: Age 3&4
Minis: Age 4-6
Juniors: Age 7-10
Tweens: Age 10-12
Teens: Age 12+

Junior-Teen classes go from Level 1-3 (Level 1 being entry-level). Students should expect to spend 2 years in each level to master the skills that are needed to progress to the next level.
Immersive Training Program (ITP)
ITP offers motivated students an opportunity to train intensively across multiple dance styles, including jazz, tap, and ballet, with an option to choose electives in hip hop or contemporary dance. By training in a cohesive group alongside other focused students who share a similar commitment, ITP dancers experience measurable progress in their technique. This supportive environment encourages each dancer to push themselves and maximize their potential through consistent, dedicated practice in a variety of styles.
ITP Dancers are encouraged to participate in the Encore Performers Team for extra performance experience, learning how to pick up choreography quickly and retain information, backstage independence with costume organization and self accountability.

Program Requirements:
ITP Dancers are required to take 5-8 hours of technique class per week, depending on age/level. This includes core classes in jazz, tap, and ballet, with electives in hip hop and contemporary.

Eligibility:
By teacher recommendation or request/trial. Teachers may recommend students they believe are well-suited for the program, or students may choose to request a trial to see if it’s a good fit for them.
Encore Theatrical Arts Project (ETAP Company)
Encore Theatrical Arts Project (ETAP) is a non-profit pre-professional performing arts company. Founded in 1996 by award-winning performer, director and choreographer, Raynor van der Merwe; ETAP was created to provide musical theatre dancers with the training, education, and performance opportunities to prepare them for successful professional careers in musical theatre.

ETAP company members train at a high level in all styles (jazz, tap, ballet & pointe, contemporary, hip hop, ballroom) to build a strong technical foundation. Additionally, they are encouraged to take vocal lessons and acting classes. Outside of training, ETAP members rehearse for a full-scale musical production each December, a dance revue show in the spring, and community performances throughout the year.
